Summary
Please let me know how I can ensure you have an excellent experience. I’m told I’m very flexible and helpful. I always try to say YES.
I have been renting dual sport bikes for many years and exploring Utah on a bike for thousands of hours.
I rent 5 dual sport motorcycles. One Large dual sport (Super Tenere 1200), Two mid-sized dual sports (2 Tenere 700s), and two small dual-sports (GPX 300r and a KTM 500). All street legal. I also have a klx230r and te300i that I don’t usually rent as they are not street legal.
Some renters are good with 50/50 tires, but others want more aggressive tires. Depending on miles and days out, I can put aggressive tires on for $100-200 that will ensure you have much more traction off road.
I also have a spare guest bedrooms that I rent for $75 a night. You have your own bathroom and queen bed with a small fridge. I have cots and sleeping pads if you need more beds.
I have lots of rider protection gear I rent out for a “donation of what you think its worth/pay what you can”.
As well as lots of bike gear (like saddle bags, tank bags and even camping gear)…for a donation.
Any extras, I prefer not to use rider-share, as they take 25% and I’d rather do a donation of what you think it’s worth. I find people are more generous than what I would ask for reimbursement.
I’m happy to give route suggestions based on your skill and fitness level.
I have two trailers and often lend out my ramp when requested.

The most common fail is not turning off the ignition and running the battery down.
The 2nd most common “issue” may be fixing a tire if you run over a nail or similar.
These will help you ensure you have a successful trip/experience!
A good riding habit I learned from MSF is to ALWAYS hit the kill switch and then ALWAYS turn off the ignition because bikes have small batteries. This is a critical habit. I would add, kick stand down…especially with a heavy bike and adventure/camping gear.
- Kill switch off…and then ON (if applicable)
- Key off
- Kick stand (do this sequence every time).
SEAT HEIGHT ESTIMATES:
Tenere 700 34.4 from factory, but I have a cut down seat and super moto wheels option, which should get it closer to 32” if needed.
TE 300i 37” seat
Tenere 1200 33.3
KTM 500 37.5”
GPX 300r 33”, it has been lowered and rear shock can sag a lot if needed.
GEAR you may consider borrowing
